28 Years Later has received mixed reviews, but I believe it's a strong third installment in the trilogy.

The story centers around Spike, a young man whose father pushes him to be tough and face the harsh realities of the world—creating tension between them. Meanwhile, Spike's mother is gravely ill, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to help her. When he hears about a doctor possibly living on an island overrun by the infected, he faces a life-altering choice: stay safe or risk everything to try to save her.

Spike's character arc is compelling—he evolves from a frightened boy into a courageous young man. His journey with his mother is both heartwarming and heartbreaking.

Dr. Kelson, portrayed by Ralph Fiennes, adds depth and gravitas to the film and is a standout part of the story. The zombies in this film are more intense and evolved than in previous entries, which helps maintain a strong sense of suspense throughout.

The movie delivers gripping horror, intense gore, striking imagery, and retains the gritty atmosphere that defined the first film.

I'm excited to see where the franchise goes next.
