The Gate Minion Replica Lets Fans Bring an ’80s Nightmare Home

The 1987 cult horror favorite The Gate has always lived up to its name. On screen, it follows a group of kids who accidentally unleash hell itself from a hole in the backyard. For the first time ever, fans will be able to own an official, life-size replica of one of the film’s demonic minions. Trick or Treat Studios has announced a 1:1 Minion figure inspired directly by the creatures seen crawling out of the gate, priced at $64.99. While pre-orders haven’t opened yet, availability is expected soon.

Directed by Tibor Takács and written by Michael Nankin, The Gate tells the story of best friends Glen and Terry, who stumble upon a strange opening in Glen’s backyard. What begins as harmless curiosity quickly escalates into terror as visions, creatures, and supernatural events spiral out of control. With their parents out of town and demonic forces closing in, the boys must find a way to seal the portal before it consumes their world.
The film stars Stephen Dorff, Christa Denton, Louis Tripp, Kelly Rowan, and Jennifer Irwin, and has remained a fan favorite thanks to its mix of childhood adventure, practical creature effects, and genuine scares.
The Minion Replica Details
Trick or Treat Studios describes the figure as an officially licensed The Gate – Minion 1:1 Figure, faithfully recreating one of the film’s most memorable monsters. The vinyl figure stands approximately 13 inches tall, scaled to match the creature’s size as seen in the movie.
Featuring detailed sculpting and paintwork modeled after the original design, the minion includes hinged shoulders that allow for subtle posing and display adjustments. Designed as a premium display piece, the figure highlights the practical-effects charm that defined so much ’80s horror.
The replica is aimed squarely at collectors and horror fans looking to add a deep-cut cult classic creature to their shelves. Trick or Treat Studios has also revealed that a minion mask will be sold separately for the same price as the figure.
