Eli Roth Unleashes 'Stiletto': A Shoe-Fetish Slasher Stalking Theaters This Halloween

Eli Roth's Horror Section just dropped the announcement horror fans have been waiting for: Stiletto, a new masked slasher with a killer shoe fetish, hits theaters nationwide on October 30. And from the sound of it, Halloween just got its next must-see slasher.

A Killer With a Taste for Heels

The premise alone is pure slasher gold. On the one-year anniversary of an exotic dancer's brutal murder, a masked serial killer begins stalking and killing his favorite performers to feed his "perverse collection of pumps." Yes, the killer has a shoe fetish — and the tagline plays on the word "afoot" in the best possible way.

It's the kind of high-concept hook that made 80s horror so memorable. A masked killer, a specific kink, and a bloody rampage all set against the backdrop of the strip club world. Throw in a Halloween release date and you've got a recipe for a cult classic in the making.

Who's Behind the Mask?

Stiletto is directed by Samuel Gonzalez Jr., whose previous work includes The Plastic Men and The Retaliators. The script is co-written by Gonzalez and star Gigi Gustin, a former exotic dancer who independently financed the project through her work. Gustin also produces alongside Eli Roth.

The cast is stacked with familiar genre faces. Charlotte McKinney (Fantasy Island, Baywatch), Colleen Camp (Clue, Euphoria), Meghan Carrasquillo, Stephen Blackehart (Superman, Guardians of the Galaxy), Hannah Hueston, and Pancho Moler (31, 3 From Hell) all appear.

What Eli Roth Is Saying

Roth, whose Horror Section has been on a hot streak, had high praise for the project. He called the slasher subgenre "the hardest to create something that feels original and genre-defining" before going on to say that Gustin and Gonzalez "turned real life horror into one of the most fun, original and exciting slasher films I have ever seen."

He also promised "a new masked killer that harkens back to the classics."

Given Roth's track record with the genre, that's not a claim to take lightly.

The Horror Section's Momentum

Stiletto is just one piece of a busy year for The Horror Section. Roth's own Ice Cream Man hits 2,000+ screens on August 7, and the team also has Don't Go In That House, Bitch! coming, which features Snoop Dogg as writer, producer, and soundtrack performer.

But Stiletto feels like the wild card of the slate — a passion project that came together outside the studio system, financed independently by its star, and designed to launch a brand new horror icon into the world.

Why This Matters

In an era where horror franchises rely on legacy sequels, reboots, and established IP, Stiletto is going the old-fashioned route: a new mask, a new killer, a new set of rules. It's exactly the kind of swing that keeps the slasher genre alive and breathing.

Whether the shoe-fetish killer catches on the way Freddy's glove or Jason's mask did remains to be seen. But one thing's certain: come Halloween night, there's going to be a new killer in town. And he's coming for your heels.
