Screamify's Micro Horror Coins Land at Danger Zone Video

Streaming is going physical. Screamify's Micro Horrors™ — the vertically shot horror series built for your phone — now come on collectible coins, and the first store in the country to carry them is Danger Zone Video in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.

What Exactly Is a Micro Horror Coin?

Each coin is a heavy, individually numbered collectible made in the USA, with original series artwork on the front and a unique QR code on the back. Scan the code with your phone and you're watching that series — vertical, episodic horror designed for the way people actually watch on mobile.

There's a clever bit of engineering in there too: the coin itself is your key. If your link ever expires, you just scan the coin again and you're right back where you left off. No account digging, no hunting through an app. The coin is the archive.

Coins are available for all three of the launch Micro Horrors™:

  • Scary Mary — wannabe influencer-streamers Lexie and Becka summon Scary Mary in a bid to go viral, and get far more than they bargained for. From TikTok filmmaker Joshua Alden and Brandi Alden.
  • Autonomous — a couple trapped in the backseat of a driverless car that refuses to give back control, starring Erin Áine and Domenic Jungling. Shot inside a real autonomous vehicle.
  • Game Night — scouts versus a masked slasher in the woods, from Trent Duncan of Venture Court Productions. Survive the slasher.

Why Danger Zone Video Is the Perfect Home

If you're anywhere near Nashville and you love physical media, you already know Danger Zone Video. The Mount Juliet shop opened in 2022 and has become the area's home for VHS, laserdisc, DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K — a genuine buy-sell-trade video store thriving in the streaming era, and a favorite haunt for horror collectors.

That's exactly why this partnership makes sense. Micro Horror coins are streaming content you can hold — numbered, collectible, made to sit on a shelf next to your tapes and steelbooks. A video store built on the love of physical media is the natural place for horror's newest physical format.

"We want these in collectors' hands" is the whole idea — and Danger Zone gets collectors.

Where to Get Them

Danger Zone Video is at 11932 Lebanon Road in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, open Wednesday through Sunday. Micro Horror coins for Scary Mary, Autonomous, and Game Night are in the shop now, alongside some quality Screamify merch.

If you're in Middle Tennessee, swing by, dig through the stacks, and grab a coin. Scan it tonight with the lights off.
