Today we're thrilled to officially announce RAVENMOCKER, the newest addition to our Micro Horrors™ slate: 20 vertically-shot episodes, roughly two minutes each, and every single one ends on a cliffhanger.

The Story: 1971. A Backroad. A Witch Who Takes Hearts.

It's 1971, and a group of teens breaks down on a rural Tennessee backroad — the wrong backroad. They've crossed into the hunting ground of the Ravenmocker, the heart-stealing witch of Cherokee legend, bound to the land by a Civil War love story that ended in blood.

Drawn from Cherokee folklore, RAVENMOCKER spans two eras — the 1860s and 1971 — weaving a century-old tragedy into a relentless survival story built for the format we pioneered. Micro Horrors™ are our proprietary mobile-first vertical format: bite-sized episodes engineered for your phone, each one leaving you no choice but to tap "next."

The Team Bringing It to Life

RAVENMOCKER is written by John White, directed by Gabe McCauley, and produced by Soul Feather Studios — the two-time National Daytime Emmy-winning Nashville company McCauley founded. Soul Feather is the team behind PBS's Reconnecting Roots, which ran four seasons through SCETV and American Public Television and took home 2024 Daytime Emmy honors including Outstanding Writing Team, with McCauley and producer Joel McAfee among the writers.

"I'm excited about seeing a concept that's based in Tennessee and based in the Civil War era come to the micro-horror format," McAfee told The Fear Feed on the red carpet. "It's a really unique story on its own, and I think it's going to really excel in the format."

For McCauley, the pull was the legend itself. "I'm excited about being able to tell a story that has historical relevancy and deals with actual myth — it has firm footing in actual lore, within Native American culture and within ours," he said. "We're going back to the '70s, and then back to the 1860s — we're getting across centuries."

RAVENMOCKER is executive produced by Laryssa Goodlad for Screamify and Oh Gosh Yeah Entertainment, LLC, and developed by Screamify Originals under Goodlad and John Vann, our consulting development producer and host of Screamify's own podcast, The Fear Feed.
