We have some news we've been dying to share: Screamify is officially back as a sponsor of the Nashville Horror Film Festival. The 2026 festival runs October 2–4 at Regal Green Hills in Nashville, Tennessee — and it kicks off Friday night with the Screamify VIP Party.

Why We Keep Coming Back

Some sponsorships are just a logo on a step-and-repeat. This one changed our slate.

At last year's festival, we discovered Axes and Os, the feature from writer-director Trent Duncan that took home both Best Overall Feature and Best Director. We licensed it — it's streaming on Screamify right now — and then we went one step further and greenlit Game Night: Survive the Slasher, a 32-episode Micro Horrors™ series from the same director. Game Night premiered this summer with a red-carpet event in Nashville, and its cast, crew, and the festival's own founders were all there celebrating with us.

One festival. One discovery. Two titles on the platform. That's what a great regional festival can do, and it's exactly why we're back for year two.

The Festival That Nashville Was Missing

The Nashville Horror Film Festival was founded in 2024 by filmmakers Wolf Turner and Chuckie Fuoco, who arrived in town, looked around at a city absolutely full of horror lovers, and realized nobody had built them a home yet. So they built it.

"Every year, everyone just steps it up — the gore, the love, the horror, the effects. It's unbelievable," Turner told us at the Micro Horrors premiere party. "I always think, 'Okay, you can't get better than this,' and then they top it."

The growth backs him up: this year's submissions have roughly tripled over last year's, with shorts, features, and scripts pouring in from local and international filmmakers alike.

"My favorite part is the community," Fuoco said. "Building this community in Nashville — it's been something that hasn't had a home. Nashville has always had it. You just need a place to actually meet up and have it."

What's Happening in October

Three nights at Regal Green Hills, October 2–4:

  • Friday, October 2 — the Screamify VIP Party opens the weekend
  • October 3–4 — two nights of the best new horror shorts and features on the big screen, with awards across the board (yes, including Best Kill)

If you're anywhere near Middle Tennessee the first weekend of October, this is the one to circle. Come for the films, stay for the community — and keep an eye out for us on the red carpet.

The Search for the Next One

Somewhere in this year's stack of submissions is the next Axes and Os — the film we haven't met yet from the filmmaker we can't wait to work with. That's the fun of it. See you in October.
